Help on buying a guitar ?
I want to get my 14yr old son a new guitar because the 1st one that I bought him was total crap. I have 3 choices of guitars for a low budget. My son is on his 2nd year so I guess you will consider him a beginner but he plays very well. Here are the guitars

I am also looking for a cheap Hard Case, just until we move to our new house.
1: Squier doesn’t make -bad- guitars, but you can expect them not to have great quality control, and they may be finicky in general.
2: That Washburn looks like a nice guitar.
3: The Michael Kelly one doesn’t look bad either.
As for cases, there’s a company called Musicians Gear that makes reasonably cheap cases. You can find them on Musician’s Friend as well.
And buying off of Musicians’ Friend is great, because if you don’t like the guitar, you can send it back for 45 days after date of purchase, so, no worries, right?
That being said, buying off the internet for instruments is very hard. There’s nothing like going to an actual store and finding one that suits you. It’s alot like Harry Pottter – “the wand chooses the wizard” kind of thing. Whenever I buy a guitar, I know that -that- guitar is the one, because it A: Sounds the best and B: Feels the best. Those variables can even vary between two guitars of the same make and model.
