The collapse of so many major record companies have begun to indie musician motion.
It is really a movement, but I refer to it this way, because I look at it as a way to beat the system and the big giants that used to tell music artists what to do and used to take almost all these artists money. They still exist, but the internet and illegal downloading phenomenon has made them smaller and made the artists realize that it might take unfair tax on their CD is not a smart thing to do, and maybe perform more can give them more money and maybe, just maybe, they can record their own music and do it on their hand.
The fact is that there is music editing programs that any intelligent person-oriented computers are able to work with and that you To open a recording studio in your home, and although you can not do anything that is small recording studios that do not charge you so much.
These are some of the causes there are so many indie music artists out there.
These artists do not necessarily roam alone all the time. Music leaders are still out there, searching for young talent, the desire of some original sounds. But the thing with indie musicians is that they know what they are worth, and they know that if they wish, they can do it on their own. Then they will know what to ask and what they should be agree.
Music artists in the past have given their label company all their confidence. Some of them were well taken care of, and some were used. But any way Looking at what they were like children who need their parents approval to the creation and execution. Today, with what I have mentioned before, and websites like MySpace and Songwriting Competition website these indie musicians know what they are worth, and as a result of this we can get more quality original music that is not twisted by the record companies who think they know what is good for us and what not.

This place is a rip off, or are they legitimate? songwriting contest?
It's called the Paramount Group and has a Nashville International Song and Lyric Competition. Entry fees are $ 20. Which I think is pretty good, but $ 20 does not sound are a bit low to legit.
