How do you learn music theory?
What I seek is to learn a textbook on music theory, but not on, you do not know how to read notes. I can read music but more information about the chord structures, and advanced products than learning to read music as one. All ideas of a good textbook?
Well, It is difficult to say when you describe to what you. You say that you can read, but not as good. I would therefore recommend Practical Beginning Theory, by Bruce Benward. I use it to teach my students. In fact, I'm so damn nice that I will have the link to the book on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/0697106357/ref=olp_tab_used/102-7434167-3360950?ie=UTF8&condition=used The second below is a very good copy;)
